When I change the drum patterns around the songbar freezes. Many times Im searching through all the drums to find something that fits better what Ive already recorded.. After it freezes i cant add, remove or move the time indicator in the songbar...

The conclusion is that I need to exit riffworks and load everythig from scratch.

If your playing back and swapping out the drums at the same time it can put some strain on your resources loading and unloading ID files and therefore the big freeze.
If it's a constant problem for you ya might want to stop play back before switching drummers.

I run a RAID 0 configuration on a 3800 overclocked Amd 64 + system. 2 gigs of 2-2-2-5 Corasir. Ive monitored this problem with only riffworks and gearbox running.. cpu usage is tiny. I keep RW and the drummers on an uncompressed portion of my RAID array (supposed to make it more easiy accessible)

It's true RW, If I change drummers on the fly, RW scrambles to load them. The songbar freezing doesnt seem like a logical response.. I mean, why doesnt it unlock after it loads the drums?

Seems like gal darn bug!

BillyBone,

It is likely a bug. :( I can't say that I've seen or heard of it before, but it sounds possible. We lock the UI when you're loading a drummer to prevent any unexpected sequences of events. Can you so anything with the UI, or is it completely locked up? I mean, can you stop the riff from playing or anything like that?
