i was wondering if they need to fix it to.the intensity knob does not seem to change much it sounds like a drummer that is playing a fill every measure.not very usable.i dont know what style to play with it or what tempo.makes me wonder if i should purchase anymore.nothing against matt sorum or the company that makes the stuff. it just seems unusable.

This may be an obvious question... but have you triend the recommended tempo for that drummer? Also, try reducing the "variation" setting.

Some of them get pretty funky if you stray too far from it's intended tempo.

Let me know if that helps....

Cheers,

He is right. It seems the only way to get a measure without a fill is to make a one bar riff. A two bar riff gives you a fill every two bars etc. It seems as the creators of this kit had not used riffworks much, they have their own drum solution that seems interesting. Anyways I have better luck woth the 'basic' patterns.

cheers for all the feedback i got.i tried matt sorum metalhead with 1 bar only.its ok but no variation in it.200 bpm.sonoma are telling me its fine.if you set it at 4 or 8 bars its stuttering and you just cant play along to it.this drummer is from submersible.wont be going there again.ive had it ten days and still havent recorded with it.shame because they had me sold on it and it ended a thumbs down.

I used the Metalhead at 180 BPM (Med A and B) all over my RiffRumble 4 tune at 6 and 8 measures lengths. and I think it sounds pretty good to me ..... and this ain't no shameless plug for a rumble vote ....... the trick is that I also mixed in some other drums to give a little dynamics to the song , but I like the way the Medium Metal Head settings sound.........though I must add that I'm not to crazy about the Very Fast settings, even pushing it up to 210-240 BPM's
