You have to get a converter like power mp3 converter free from www.download.com. Save it to wave and then convert. Power Mp3 has alot of sifferent formats and bitrates you can save them to

If you have iTunes installed, you can open the wav in iTunes, right click on it, and convert it to mp3

(you may have to make mp3 your default iTunes encoding first)

'Audacity' is another freebie which offers a lot more than just conversion capabilities.
Cheers!
