Hello. I orginally purchased Piccolo Rock a long time ago with RiffWorks V1 when they were available from the Line 6 website. Well during the upgrade the drum files got lost. Now on Line 6's website it says that you can't download from there anymore. On my Line 6 monkey "Piccolo Rock" is listed with a green checkmark as activated but I don't have the actualy file. I tried to go to the Sonoma Wire Works store but the only option is to purchase. I still have access to my purchase history with Line 6 to show that I purchased it. Any help? Thanks.

Nevermind, I finally found it on line6's website. I sent them an e-mail telling them that part of their site says they do not have them and part of their site says they do.

Nevermind again. It doesn't work, I downloaded the installed v1.1 and it says Riffworks is not detected on your system the installer will now exit. Riffworks v2 is on my system. I give up.

Hay tylerloder don't give up so fast! 17 minutes on a Saturday afternoon is just too fast! LOL

I can't find it off hand but I think there's a process to go through with Sonoma to get the v2 version of your v1 purchased drummers. Hopefully one of the people who had to go through it will be around and chime in.

Good Luck,
J.J.

tylerloder ... hello
Which new version of RW II are you using .. ?? Line6 or Standard ... ?? This makes a huge difference in how you carry over your "old" version 1.1 drummers.

Go straight to the source of the solution - e-mail support@sonomawireworks.com directly. Sometimes the guys are just too busy to make regular appearances here on the forum although we all know they try their hardest.
Failing that, e-mail Dave, Dan or Dug. You can contact them via the e-mail links on their profiles.
Cheers!
Scott

For the Line 6 edition the old 1.1 version drummers need to be copied from:
ProgramLine6RiffWorksDrummers
to:
Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSonoma Wire WorksDrummers

Have you done this yet ??

Well I said in my original e-mail that the drum files were lost. So unfortunately I cannot copy what is not there. So I finally found the 1.1 drummer on Line 6's website but as i run the .exe setup file it doesn't recognize that Riffworks is installed even though it is.

Well I would try the e-mail but is says to use this forum first. So I am trying to eliminate all sources of help so I don't act like alot of those annoying people that call for live tech support instead of utilizing all the information from a website full of answers.

It sounds like you have already uninstalled version 1.1.......if this is so then those original drummers probably got uninstalled as well.
The Sonoma gang should be roaming by soon to help you. I think you might have to go through the following instructions to get this worked out:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/Will_RiffWorks_1.1_drummers_work_in_RiffWorks_Standard%3F

If RiffWorks Version 1.1 is uninstalled then this is probably why the Line 6 downloads are not working as they were meant to see version 1.1 (I suppose and am guessing here) and not version 2.
Sorry I can't give ya any better help....good luck.

BTW.....if you still have version 1.1 installed and lost the drummers installing version II .....well....like I said...good luck :)
Keep an eye out as you should be seeing one or two from Sonoma soon.

You had the right idea by reinstalling RW version 1, then reinstalling the drummers you downloaded from Line6's website. That should have worked, though you're saying that the drummer file came back with an error indicating that RiffWorks wasn't installed. Did you confirm that RW version 1 was working by attempting to launch it?

The correct procedure as mentioned above, once you get the version 1 drummers installed, is to copy them from C:Program FilesLine6RiffWorksdrummers to C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSonoma Wire Worksdrummers

Well I never did reinstall RW version 1. It didn't seem that there was a purpose to having almost a gigabyte of software, 2 different versions. When my computer crashed and i formatted the hard drive. I of course had the Riffworks 2 setup file saved on disk. So I ran it, and installed just that version. So basically as I am reading it. I have to install the whole RiffWorks v1 to be able to make the drummer work and then swap the file over to the RW2 folder and then delete RW1 off my computer. That sounds like an extreme hassel. It makes much more sense to just integrate them into the new software originally.

So I take it from the no response to this and no response from my e-mail. It's just a "too bad" deal? Like I wasted 10 bucks on 1 drum kit? It would be really nice if someone can shed a little light on this subject.
