Hi. I have been using Riffworks (original version) for about a year now with no problems whatsoever. However i have suddenly had all my previously recorded tracks turn into sonic hell, with strange flanging effects, random volume increases and decreases and huge amounts of reverb. I haven`t changed anything so i`m baffled.
I have tried reinstalling the drivers on my Pod xt to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what is happening? Thanks....

Are you still using your original version? Or is this a problem you're seeing with the new version?

That all sounds pretty strange? Does it look like any effects are turned on for the individual layers? Do you have a reason to believe that it is the PodXT effects? I have to admit that I'm at a bit of a loss, but maybe we can get somewhere with this...

Hi Dave
thanks for your reply. Im still using the original version. The problem lasted for about 3 days then mysteriously resolved itself. However there were some quite bizarre things going on. Here are some more "symptoms" which might offer some clues-

Some layers were very loud whilst others were barely audible, even with the gain control turned to maximum. Strangely, if i turned the gain down on the layers that were very quiet, there would be a huge increase in the volume of layers that were already very loud.

The metronome was extemely loud and refused to decrease in volume.

I also use Ableton live 4, and when i exported tracks from riffworks to Ableton as wav files the cement mixer effects were exported with them. However if i played an audio cd, or a pc game, using the pod as an external soundcard the audio was completely normal.

Im glad the problems have gone, and i suppose it might be hard to identify what actually happened. I still think Riffworks is a fantastic product which i would recommend to anyone

Im off to Australia for 3 weeks tomorrow so i might not be able to respond to any further questions you might have until i get back. Thanks again for your help

Reinhardt,

I have to admit that I have no idea how that could even happen. If you (or anyone else) ever sees this again, please post here as we'd love to get to the bottom of it.

Have fun in Australia! Sounds fun!
