I was glancing at the Melodyne products. Which one would you suggest, and about how much for a full version?

Thanks,
Ron

I have melodyne plugin. was definately worth all the money, but I also had a 100 dollar discount because of a pro-tools offor. was worth every penny, but it wont work with riffworks because riffworks doesnt send midi data. you get melodyne Direct Note Access as a free upgrade in september though.

!!!

My first few posts had no vocals on them 'cause I was kinda shy too... but the encouragement here is just astounding. I'm sorry anyone has to deal with buttholes but such be life.

Forget about the quality of your voice. Everyone is able to sing, you just need to have the courage to do it. Judging other peoples voice is not a matter of quality, but a matter of personal taste, just as the music is. You can't satisfie anyone with your music and there will always be critics...you just got to learn to deal with them or ignore them.

I know i'm not a good singer, this is why I mention it in any song I upload with vocals included...this way nobody is insultive, because you already took the wind out of their sails.

Well said Captain :)

@ Chris, good on ya mate your voice sounds cool to me mate, give us more :)

Uncle Bill

P.S. And don't make the mistake of hiding your voice in the mix, when you sing, more often than not the words are more important than the notes :)
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

I dunno I tried some vocals once and told everyone I didn't think they were good and they agreed with me.

I'm kinda with the Captain on this, I just don't give a crap what people think. I sing what I want when I want.

Who cares just do it, it'll help you discover your own voice and just like learning an instrument, help you learn what you can do with your voice and what it's limits are.

That's true. In fact your voice is gettin better everytime you try to sing. If you don't try, you're not able to improve it. It's important to sing while standing upright. Singing has lot to do with breathing.

You should try to cover singing on songs you like, on your job or whenever you find the time to sing...under the shower, when driving, when spending time on the forums. If you feel your voice doesn't sound that good, when hearing yourself, try to record it and listen to it again. Often your recorded voice has a much different shape from the one you got in your ears.
