Hello SONOMA WIREWORKS,

I Would like to make some Suggestions,
For the Next Version of RIFFWORKS to possibly include a "PAUSE BUTTON",
in the RIFF RECORDER Section of RIFFWORKS. I Think this would be a GREAT Feature
to ADD to the RIFF RECORDER, Especially, for Editing Recorded Parts, (with the INFO GRAPH), of Each Recorded Layer. The way it is now, (Although it is not hard to use), the Cursor Automatically Returns to the begining of the Recorded Riff, or (Song Layer), and you Have to "SEARCH" for the Recorded Part, you would like to EDIT, or
Start Re-Recording from, (or Left OFF at). I Think a ("PAUSE "BUTTON Feature), included in the RIFF RECORDER Section Would be Very Useful, and a GREAT
FEATURE for the RIFF RECORDER to Have. I also Thought About the Idea of, possibly ADDING a "Slow moving CURSOR "FAST FORWARD BUTTON", (But not too slow), to ADD to the RIFF RECORDER, (TO SLOWLY FAST-FORWARD THE CURSOR, (SCAN), UP IN THE TIME LINE, FOR THE RECORDED SONG, TO BE ABLE TO LOCATE PARTS IN THE SONG QUICKLY, for EDITING, AND RECORDING PURPOSES, AND TO USE ALSO WITH SONGLAYERS.)

ALSO, Another Idea or Suggestion, would be to ADD A ("SELECT LOCK" BUTTON), to
Switch Between Working in: Songlayers Section of RIFFWORKS, or NOT,
instead of it AUTOMATICALLY Switching out of the SONGLAYERS Section of RIFFWORKS, When only trying to Record songlayers, (Parts Only). You Have to Re-Select the SONGLAYERS Section, Each time you Re-Start the song, and only want to
RECORD Songlayer Parts.
I also Think the Delete Feature for Comments, is Excellent!!!

(Can this New Delete Comments Feature also be used to Delete Double Shouts in RIFFRUMBLE Contests, to be used only by the Contestant, on His/Her song only, The Creator of the Song Entry, for the Contest (RIFFRUMBLE)? That would be Nice, and not to have to Worry about Double Shouts being posted on a song Entry, by the same person, or Song Entry Cancellation, due to a Double Shout by the same person. Could just Delete the Double Shouts then, by the same person, if there were any. (I see that this can now be done by Entering your user Profile, to Delete duplicate Shouts or comments.)

Someone mentioned the Idea in the Forums, of the possibility of, or Idea of a RIFF-RADIO Station on RIFFWORLD, for all of the Created music to be Heard, I Think this is a Great Idea, OR, How about a RIFF-RADIO Station, on RIFFWORLD, that only plays the songs on the Top 10 Charts, (Revolving, Repeatedly, Automatically, OR By Song Selection, and Changes with it, (The Top 10 songs of each week, if it changes weekly, but Plays Top 10 weekly Chart Songs REVOLVING Continuously, Automatically, or you have the Ability to select the songs, to listen to.

(Musicians could then try and make the Charts each week, to Have Thier songs Heard, on the RIFF-RADIO Station(s), in between RiffRumbles.) (Just an Idea!!!.)
(Maybe could also be different stations, for different Genres, types of songs, music.)

These are Just some Ideas, and suggestions I have for RIFFWORKS,...

THANK YOU,
For Listening to them.
BEST TO ALL, IN RIFFRUMBLE 15!!!!!!

A "reverse" effect would be nice for anyone to record their lead guitar solo foward and reverse it in Riffworks.

My vote is for NO new features until the current version of the software actually works. The recording part works fantastically! It's the other stuff (riffworld, rifflink, riffcaster) that needs fixin. Last time I tried to riffcast, I couldn't (said wrong username and password). I saw where another person was having the same problem, but wasn't getting any answers, so I didn't ask. No need to compound frustration over at Sonoma as I'm sure they're working on it. I'm currently waiting for the riffworld homepage to load.
"I think the problem might have been, that there was a stonehenge monument on stage in danger of being crushed, by a dwarf". "I really think you're making a big thing out of this". "Making a big thing out of it would have been a good idea".

My hope is one day we can bounce or mix down multi layers into one layer within a riff...maybe color coding the mix layer to ID it...without mixing down and creating a whole new riff...same thing in song layer also..I have come to this hope messing with vocal parts. :)

I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

I just hope we will actually see a future Riffworks with new features. I suspect it's a long way off if we do...

+1. I've recommended RW to several people, and I get calls from them constantly about this bug or that bug, and all I can tell them is, "yeah I know, RW doesn't do what it says on the box....it sucks but whatareyagonnado". It's getting old - to the point that I don't recommend RW to people anymore, which stinks because when it works, there's nothing like it.
