Sorry to hear that Riffer.I think there are a few of us having problems one way or another with things on Riffworks/Rifflink at the moment. No wonder your pissed off.Hopefully the Sonoma team will get these issues sorted soon.

yeah riffer, one of those lessons you only need to learn once. I now save all the stinking time while recording.

I also save often AND make backup's occasionally on a different hardrive, you might want to add that into your process :>

Same here.. Just tonight on song Something Easy..

I f*g hate this losing layers in collabs. It's totally unreliable and it's a crap shoot everytime you throw down. ): I tried saving like 10 times too.. No love. Come on Sonoma - throw us a bone. Losing data sucks.

:(

My only advice is that when you're working offline you shouldn't be waiting hours between saves. It's the same with any software - whether you're using Photoshop, Reason, RiffWorks, MS Word, anything where you're creating, you should be saving after every big change you make. I save on average every ten - fifteen minutes. It's just a habit I've gotten into over the years.

That's a FANTASTIC idea. I can only pass on your suggestions (which I frequently do!).

Randy,

Better yet, an option like in MSOffice (which you mention), to Auto Save every ** minutes (insert your own value).

Many applications offer this as part of their standard architecture for the very reason we are discussing. During a creative burst, one is less likely to think about saving instead of just plowing on with the flow. Auto Save has saved my !%# many times when working on long technical papers at work. I'll be typing straight for an hour or so and suddenly receive an error that locks me up hard, but having it save my work every ten minutes keeps the recreation process easy as no more than ten minutes of work are lost.

CTRL + S would be welcome as well, but an Auto Save feature would be great too.

I'm not opposed to an auto save feature as long as I can turn it off. Just don't force that on all users.
