Howdy GS

About one month ago I tried to Riffcast and I received the incorrect user name and password message. At that time I was told that it was the server and it was right before Phase 1 upgrade to be patient and should all be better. Well here I am one month later and I still can't Riffcast. I can logon to RiffWorld, RiffLink and Sonoma Store with no problems and at one time I was able to Riffcast wiht same name and password. I have exchanged a few emails with Garret and Randy but when they ask me for information such as a File Log. I had to email Michelle to get them to respond back to me. Then I was told that there nothing irregular in the Log File. I was then asked if I could provide them with my username and password so they could try it on their end I guess to see if they have the same problem. That was the last email I received Friday March 20 now I know if I really feel the need to Riffcast I can mix to an Ogg file and post directly on RIffWorld, but that's not the point.

Thanks

rpinon69: try uninstalling riffworks, and when you reinstall it should ask you for your sonoma key, type it in. and hope for the best. but only use that as a last resort, yes this has happened to me also but not to your extent, also try checking your firewall settings, make sure that you allow riffworks in the settings where it lists allowed programs,do all that and if your sonoma key works and your firewall is set right then you know for sure it's on their end! ps,your sonoma key is your username and password.

strat: are using line6 edition? if so it sounds to like your riffworks isn't activated and still running in demo mode! if not it could be a corrupted file! exe. mabey! but if it is L6 YOUR LINE 6 MONKEY isn't activating the program! best suggestion.and i know your going to think i'm nuts, but try using a dialup conn. to activate thru monkey. if it is not line6 then this is best left up to sonoma but it still sounds to me like it is not activated and running in demo mode. in demo mode you do everything but save, riffcast, and rifflink! good luck man!

I was a beta tester on SWW stand alone RIFFWORKS STANDARD back in 06.. i posted my 1st tune in 05 of 05...I know all the do's and donts...im not uninformed on the remedys that people ask me to do..I have all the latest drivers/monkeys.its not my system...this is not a problem that any user can address..this is a sonoma problem...im not doging SWW at all...but im not kissing their buts either like some here...if i didnt likle rws..i would have deleted it long ago...If it never works agin..its all good..i can still use rex/drums...My RWS has not been able to record for 2 months now...its been2/22/09 that i last heard form support..i have sent .logs twice...nothing...the last update IS the problem,as all was perfect until then...IM giving up untill its works...im gonna shelf this program and go back to making music on my other programs that record..and i WILL post songs on r.caster...even tho theres no RWS involved what so ever..as far as r.link..i dont care about that feature at all...thats not why i bought the program ..i dont care if it never works!!..i use rws as a idea note pad/drums/rex player..i just want RWS to record and the hell with the other stuff...Strat... my case#19322

Only staff can fix log in problems. Stick with the file upload until they can sort it out. There is a definate advantage to this, you can mix a high quality ogg which sounds much better than the standard riffcast. Just the other day I was able to upload 14 MB high quality ogg, it just kills the sound of the regular riffcast. I'm sure the team will be on it, but your not missing out on anything in the meantime.

You can safely reinstall without losing any work, but just for good measure open your songs folder and copy it to another location.

I thought your advice was good. No problem here. There are so many variables that could cause a riffcast problem, I would have probably reinstalled before even calling support and checked my firewall/antivirus settings too. It only takes a minute.

Sorry for confusing GuitarSlinger and SixStringOutlaw shame on me. I do appreciate all the input from everyone. I will stay the course and wait for someone from Sonoma to contact me I did receive an encouraging email from Michelle a few hours ago that this doesn't usually happen and that my issue will be addressed. When? I don't know?

Thanks
