I use the strings and the guitars and basses they make, I'm nutty like that! It's funny when people call me GS I flash back to my gaming days. I really have trouble with internet identities, I can't tell you the names of all the people on rifflink, and if anyone ever changes their avatar, I don't know who they are anymore.

Please email support about your problem, if you haven't already, so they can work on fixing this for you. We want it to work also.

The MySpace embed code for RiffWorld song players is not dead, so please use those for now. We have filed a bug report about the RiffWorld profile embed code not working, but that may have to wait until Phase 2 of RiffWorld development.

More about these changes that developers are working hard on are here, as you may have already read:

njquadder, I've deleted the unnecessary insults from your post.

We're looking forward to it all working even better soon :) Hang in there.

rpinon69, I know support has been working on tackling your issue. It's a tricky one.

strat, I'll ask support what's up with your case.

The MySpace embed code for RiffWorld song players is working great and has been working all along. I believe you are referring to the RiffWorld profile embed code not working on MySpace (it works fine on most other web sites). Fixing profile embed code for myspace pages may have to wait until Phase 2 of RiffWorld development.

Strat,

We wrote on on Saturday asking for the most current log file. The last one you sent was outdated and showed that you were using an old version of RiffWorks. You wrote back saying you were running that latest version (though the log shows the version number). Please respond to that last message with the latest RiffWorksStandard.log file.

Thanks!

The log is still helpful, even if RWS can't see your asio devices. The log shows what's going on. Please send it in.

Thank you Michelle and Support team I received a Permalink email for a test cast yesterday and then I tried to RiffCast and everything worked. I appreciate all your hard work and giving us a chance to work on being a bit more patient.

Thanks Again

It was a very strange problem and it took some brain bending on Dug's part to figure out what was going on. Thankfully we were able to reproduce the problem on our end, which made it easier for him to diagnose the issue.

We're very thankful for your patience!

The change we made should have fixed everyone in one swoop. We didn't have to enter individual user names. What is the exact problem you're having with RiffCaster? Do you have a support case open? If so, what's the case number?

The "Incorrect Username and Password" syndrome happens to me quite regularly when I try to log on to Rifflink. It never happens when the screen quickly goes from "Contacting Rifflink Server" to "Rifflink Server is Online", it only ever happens when there is a definite time lag between those 2 messages. It makes me think that the "Incorrect Username and Password" message is totally irrelevant and where the real problem lies is a server glitch or timeout. There is no way, even though I admit to being an old fart, that I ever input a wrong password unless someone else has set the Caps Lock on my keyboard. 9 times out of 10 if this happens whilst logging on to Rifflink I'll not be able to log on to Riffworld either, when I try to log on the screen goes darker and the little wheel just keeps turning.

I don't know if this will help anyone but I thought it worth a mention :)
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!
