hey rpinon69-
what mickey was saying was to be sure that each riff you create in rw has it's own pattern sequence in reason. otherwise each riff will always have the same sequence playing back from reason.
say you create a 4 bar riff and record a guitar riff over it. now you record a matching bassline or keyboard pattern in reason for that riff. notice how the 'start' and 'loop' flags in reason's sequencer match the length of the riff you created in rw. this is the corresponding pattern for that particular riff. once you have recorded your pattern, you will see that bars 1-4 now have data in the reason sequencer.
now, you create a new 4 bar riff in rw, and are ready match it with a new reason pattern. the key is to always make sure you designate an empty 'slot' or 'space' for each new pattern in the sequencer. bars 1-4 in reason correspond to riff 1 in rw. you need to set reason's sequencer to record a new pattern on bars 4-8. otherwise, it will continue to play back the original pattern from the first riff.
the sliders can be moved and dragged to any given point with the mouse. just keep in mind rw always dictates the bar length, it cannot be altered within reason in rewire mode.
hope this helps, good luck.
