New to music recording generally but have been using RiffWorks to great effect for the last 6 months. Question: Is it possible to lay down an Instant Drupper loop ie 3/4mins of drum pattern in RiffWorks...then save it as a single track WAV (no instruments) and then load that pattern into ProTools to use as the drum track in that system?? Anyone tried it?? Please help. Thanx

I'm fairly sure it'll work. I haven't tried it from RW to ProTools but I have done tracks the other way round with the added useage of IntelliRiffer to convert the ProTools tracks from .wav to .rws file formats.
Cheers!

yes various ways to do it. If it's just one constant drum pattern then just set the length, drag that into the songline, and mix to a 32 bit wav file. I don't use pro tools, but you should be able to directly then import that wav file without intellriffer. I can do this with audacity, so pro tools must be able to. If you have a few different patterns, just drag the riffs up to the songline in the order you want and do the same.

Another option with RW Standard is to click export when you have all your drum riffs set up..........and then export all riffs to WAV .....they will be put into a folder and then you could drag them and re-arrainge them in Pro Tools just like in Riffworks.......if you have the order you want just drag all the drum riffs to the songbar and mix the entire song to WAV and then import to Pro Tools.

That should work as well.
