riffworks and 64 bit vista...please help .....please.....o g

antec 1200 case
black box 7750 AMD 2.7 proc (OC to 3.2)
asus m3n HDMI hi-def audio mobo
dual nvidia 8800 gts ssc (OC'ed as well) running in SLI
8 gigs of dual channel 1066 OCZ ram
4 velociraptor 320 gig HD's
blue ray LG cd/dvd burner X 4
windows vista 64 bit OS
and 12 120 mm cooling fans with a dark knight processor cooler
with a 200mm top case fan.....

all of this is USELESS!!! cause RIFFWORKS does not support 64 bit!!!!!! ZOMG i wanna rip all my hair out and my neighbors and my neighbors neighbors, sigh.

sooooooo would any of you know if at all in any way shape or form that i can get riffwirks running on my machine? any help at all would be HUGELY appreciated.

fraging 120 kills on COD4 and COD:WW is only kewl when i can write a song about doing it right after and alas, i cannot.

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode?

Right Click the riffworks EXE>Properties>Compatibility and run it in compatibility mode for Windows XP.

hey man your 30 seconds of wisdom helped me out A TON!!!! ty vm...it works
now my next problem is this. i use gearbox to interface, and for sounds, the THIS PROGRAM IS NOT SUPPORTED BY WINDOWS 64 pops up, do you know anything about that?
its the line 6 gearbox program. ill jump to thier forums as well to see whats up

What version of Gearbox are you using? Have you updated to the latest version? They are up to 3.70 now.

thats funny cause I run riffworks just fine on 64 bit vista home premium.

Not sure what your problem is but you can't blame RW because I am running 64 bit vista and dual boot 64 bit server 08 and it works seemlessly.. So the problem can't be your RW.

yeah....I was gonna say....I run RW's on my lappy and its Vista 64.....never any problems....I think you are using old drivers....or the wrong drivers all together!

its all good i got all of it to work now i had to download gearbox to my computer and install from there and not the CD that it came with!!!!! im a idiot! but thatnks for your help sometimes its cool to have another head or 5 to see from other prespectives. i appreciate your time. hopefully the next post is some riff ideas. till then check out my band, WWW.SAINTCAINE.COM i wanted riffworks to be able to email song riffs/ideas to my drummer uin PA as im from jersey.

ty ty .... appreciated as its one of my favorite bands going all the way back to KYUSS. glad you could see the influence. im at work now i cant wait to get back home and start tracking

thats funny cause I run riffworks just fine on 64 bit vista home premium.

Vista is "supposed" to be backward compatible and is supposed to be automatic, but in his case it didn't happen. So the obvious thing to do here is to run it in compatiblity mode don't you think?
