I tell a few friends about how great RW is, but they only have a guitar. Is there a way to use T4 with no hardware,,,Line 6, mixers, etc?
Would they be able to just plug the guitar into the computer sound board or something?

You can plug straight into the computer soundcard with a patch lead and use ASIO4ALL, free download :)

Then buy a proper ASIO Device as soon as you're addicted ;)
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

Yes, get a 1/4 to 1/8 inch adapter plug and connect straight to the line-in of the sound card.. then go get a few decent free vst amps to use and they should be set for addiction... a couple of my favorite vst amps are

Free Amp 3, get it here - http://frettedsynth.home.att.net/

Free Amp 2.5 is on the same page and is also good.

Studio Devil British Valve Custom - http://www.studiodevil.com/download/downloadBVC.htm

Dirt Head, get it here - http://www.ndzeit.org/guitar/dirthead.html

I wanted to check if you can try Riffworld without spending a dime. Once you try it, I'm sure you will get hooked like the rest of us Riff Junkies. From what I understand, you can use a regular guitar patch cord that will fit into your computers sound input jack. Download the free RW T4 here: http://www.riffworld.com/about
Then download the free ASIO4All driver here: http://www.asio4all.com/
Sign up for free, Visit the forum here: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=50211#p50211
to see if there are any updates to my question, or if you need help configuring.
Just try to leave a simple blues rhythm track. Within hours someone will add bass, someone will add lead, someone might sing.

Once you have the recording done, Save it. Then click Rifflink, sign on, hit create, A new page will open. Fill in the info, song title, ect, Save.
Go back to RW and you should see your song at the top of the list. Click Join. then click Import. Import the song you saved. It's now public. You can add a new track online if you want. Someone else will add to it too.
You're gonna love this!
Everyone agree???

Best to buy StealthPlug... I think the latest version is bundled with RiffWorks Standard edition so it's all you'll need (to start anyway)!
