I purchased the V2 Standard version and installed ...........
Everything worked fine ... I loaded an old song called "Groovy Chicks"........ The drums were all there in the mix, I tweaked it a little and the drums were then missing in some layers ..
I then looked for the Amplitube plug-in and realized it had to be downloaded also, so I shut RW2 down and did that..... now RW2 won't load at all ........hanging on the "Hi-Cowbell" It stayed there for a 1/2 hour at least, so I shut it down. .... but it won't shut down without the Task Manager ... I even re-downloaded it and re-installed, but to no avail!
I tried re-booting and still nothing.... I don't want to re-download because I only have 1 more download remaining after it skipped downloads 4 and 2.
RW 1.1 will still load though........
I'm frazzled at this point and need some sleep so .... I'm off!
Hope someone can help.
What I saw of V2 for 4-5 minutes looked great though!
I have a dual core Pentium 4 - 64 bit processor running XP Pro 32 bit.... 3.0 Ghz with 2 Gigs of RAM

HELPPPPPPPPPP.........Please

It seemed to be the REARoute ASIO in the Audio setup that was causing the problem........I did open the REGEDIT but had to clear the device name and RW2 re-opened on the next try.....Voila!!!
Now if I could only get the serial # for Amplitube .........as I seem to have exceeded my downloads after only two tries!!!
I too got the already registered activation code/number...
P.S. I am using Line6's GuitarPort Version 2.51........

Glad to see you got it working. We haven't tested with REARoute ASIO.

He got it working by deleting the DeviceName entry in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareSonoma Wire WorksRiffWorks Standard

I have also reset your amplitube serial number count. We fixed the duplicate serial number problem.

I'm having the same issue. Once and awhile it will work no problems, but most other times it hangs on hi cowbell. I've tried deleting the DeviceName entry in my registry; no luck. It has to have something to do with my ASIO since it will load fine with the PodXT as the audio device. However, I want to use my M-Audio Firewire Solo instead. Once it loads with the Pod drivers I try to switch to the Firewire Solo and load a song then it hangs on hi cowbell. My drivers are all up to date so I really don't have any ideas what to do. It's rather frustrating.

Thanks for any help.

I've got the same issue after upgrading to the Line6 version. Here's the details in the riffworks log file. Seems to fail on a connect to:

I don't not block that port outbound. Sonoma: DO you listen there -- am I required to connect to use this product???

I still was still getting the "hang at cowbell" when I start riffworks with headphones attached to my soundcard. I believe I got it fixed by going to my soundcard device controls and unchecking "mute speakers when headphones are attached"

Anyways Rearoute is buggy, I tried it once and then uninstalled it. ASIO4all is more stable.

I'm using ASIO4ALL v2 and RW Standard hangs at cowbell. All works fine when I have my PodXTL turned on. But the reason I bought standard was so I could use RW standalone. I've deleted the device name, rebooted, unistalled ASIO4ALL and re-installed. I am at a loss.

It may be that ASIO4ALL doesn't work with your soundcard. I recall in beta one of the folks not able to get ASIO4ALL to work. Can anyone suggest another universal driver?

I tried asio 4 all and it didn't work for me.......had to un-install it......
try going to the regedit and typing in ASIO PodXTL. .... but unplug and replug the USB of the Pod XTL and see if that works.....
