Sorry, if this sounds like a dumb question. I can only find the way to set which sound card I can use. I found the ReWire stuff. How do I load a VST or DXi or whatever?

How would I use AmpliTubeLE with Riffworks 2?

Thanks.

Is there a setting to make threads automatically send the response? I saw the button at the bottom just as I was clicking on submit. Now it won't email me on updates to this thread. I'd like to have it set so that little box is checked by default so I don't have to remember to check it every time.

bamin2 -
I was looking for a past thread in the beta 2 forum with the instruction but it's misssing. To get you started I can tell you this - click on the Hardware button and turn it off. Then click on the Effects button right under it - on the backups tab - select amps and make sure you check the box - should see a pop-up of plugins - select AmpliTube . You should have access now, but there is a matter of latency depending on your device (that's why I was looking for the thread were there were more detailed instructions on how to adjust ASIO). try this untill SSW respond with a better explanation.

Hey bam,

Yep like Jisg said..
To get some soothing tube flavor happening

1. Hardware - turn off
2. Effects - turn on
3. AMP - ON
Select Amplitube from the dropdown menu under AMP. Then you'll see a little amplitube window with glowing tubes. Now just loadprezsets, turn the volume way up and it's ready to play!

Rock on!

You may need to set the "set plug in path" to C:Program FilesVSTPlugins. If you don't already have a folder with that name create one your Program Files. (Wndows PC) Then copy the AmplitubeLE.dll file (and any other VST plugins you want to try) to this new folder. Hope this helps.

For me it's just OK. If I didn't have the XTL I may dig it. But in my opinion ( worth about 2 cents ), I'm going to keep using my Line6 maxed out XTL.

What Jisg said...Amplitube is just OK. It only has 3 different amp settings.

If I had a million... I'd buy the full on version from the IK site and get the pedal board (don't know if it's available yet) and drag a laptop around to every gig and have all of IK's bells and whistles and see if it was worth it. But so far the XTL is satisfying my guitar equipment addiction.

I guess that is really the thing with Amplitube, it is super light. With the version so stripped down it can't compete with GP.

The tones are pretty good, but not being able to dial it in as precisely as I would with GP hurts the overall experience. Not to mention the latency issues compared to using hardware.

keep in mind the SWW people were trying something new and sort of doing us and or future newbee users a favor by including AmpliTube. It is just another way to make playing guitar, writting and recording FUN, EASY and a personal musical growth thing.

If I didn't have the GP prior to the inclusion of amplitube, I would be thrilled.......I recorded a quickie last night with Amplitube and posted it on Rifcaster.....it has potential.

I really don't like the clean channel in Amplitube........no comparison to the tweed in GP. Yes I play clean........LOL

I will keep working it at...........it may win me over yet

Buying the standard version new, one would probably not have a GuitarPort or POD. Amplitube gives you something to play through going direct in whatever your interface, might just even be your sound card.

The powerful thing is they've opened the door for other plugs like this, i.e. the full Amplitube or many others you could get should you desire.
