After going at it for several hours RW crashes and cause a noise loop which sounds like my monitors are going to explode. I save the event log and when restarting RW it doesn't see the ASIO drivers (UX2 - AmpFarm and Gearbox) - happens with both. I have to reboot the computer and of course I back to where the last save was when I bring everthing back up. It makes me think that some kind of cache is getting full and then crashing but I'm just speculating. This happens on my quad core with lots of RAM as well as it used to happen on my other machines.
Any ideas?

It's a common occurance Senor Garcia.....no need to re-boot the PC just shut down Riffworks and unplug /re plug the USB after a 5-10 second wait and RW's will see your Line 6 device again....no idea's as to why it happens.....but I've noticed if one tries to do too much too quick.....that's when it happens and I'm not talking about being in Rifflink.....just using the program as a standalone.
Just do continual saves every few minutes.......and clear the cache.....a small price to pay for such a great program. It becomes like second nature after a while.

Well thank you my good man! It would probably help if I drank more beer in the process too! I also agree it's a great tool! I guess that's why I get going and really don't break till it crashes.
I have a feeling it's a driver issue makes it part of that no man's land.

its funny mickey but with my old pc I did have to reboot.. but with my new one now at 24 gigs of ram and instead of that crappy I7 core I got a xeon 5500 it hasnt crashed once.. Rifflink disconects me and I have to close out of RW though to re-log into Rifflink.. Also fruity loops always crashes rw if I forget to change vsts before I log. but my asio drivers seem to stay solid. I wonder if it is because it isn't a toneport ux2 it is a pod studio? Any way a couple of times when I loaded RW it said it was using my default driver and I had to close down rw and unplug the ux2.. I am suppose to do vocals for troy and mysmolnet this weekend but I dread trying to rifflink anymore. I really miss it but what used to take 5 minutes takes and hour or 2.
I am thinking of hosting a file sharing site for online collab files this way someone could just email me the completed song and I could do a vocal track with auditions and upload it.. I don't know if this would help anyone else? RW is still the bomb but rifflink is broken... I have 2 internet lines one is comcast and one is to the cluster server at school where I am have domain Admin account. I would be willing to host rifflinks for all my old school riffjunkie friends if sonoma made the option available.. Anyway sonoma let me know if I can help!

When this happens, shut down Riffworks saving your tune 1st and then a USB un/replug (wait 5-10 seconds before replugging) is necessary to reset the ASIO drivers.
That should do it.
