I have an adapter that is connected to the end of the guitar cord while the other end is of course in the guitar and it lets me record my guitar through my mic input, for other software's that is.....but i came across this one and i cannot do the same and i have none of that sound card mumbo jumbo.....is there a way i can record on Riffworks without having to change?

If not is there a usb adapter that i can buy to plug into my usb port and the other end into the guitar cord to record? if so how much are they?

there are some great options from IK multimedia, and Line6 for this.

heres the most simple one from ik:

Do you have ASIOforAll installed? Your current setup "should" work if you have ASIO installed. I use my line-in on my soundcard. Not the best method for recording but it gets us less fortunate ones by. :) If you don't have it, go get it here
