I know I'm probably grasping for straws here but, does anyone know if Riffworks keeps an autosave file as you're working on a song? My main hard drive crashed and I lost the 3 most recent songs I had been working on (finally got up enough nerve to sing too!). Luckily I had final ogg mixes, but lost the RW files because my most recent HD backup was 4 weeks before.

If not, guess I'll just have to post the .ogg files...

Thanks for any help,
Chris

You could convert the .ogg files to .wav files using Audacity and then use Amit's "IntelliRiffer" to change them to .rwr files. This gets your song back in to RiffWorks but only as a single layer in one riff. You can add new riffs and layers to it though.
Cheers!
Scott

Thanks Scott...I thought about doing that, but as you said, it all becomes one layer.

That'll teach me for not making regular backups!

Sorry, no auto-save. RiffWorks audio engine would have to stop (meaning no recording) during an auto-save, so it sort of defeats the purpose.

At the very least we need a button that says "Beer Break", how about changing the name of the "Save" button to that, especially as we're not allowed a proper beer dispenser on the interface
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!
