I came across this today when i was switching few Asio Devices and Drivers (as maudio changed the asio interface driver name between driver versions).

Perhaps sonoma team can take a look & fix it in next rw update if its indeed a bug and not something with just my system.

The issue how RW Handles Asio Devices.

RW does not let you choose another asio device if for some reason it is not able to load the previous asio device it used. It just gives you the pop up that no asio devices are present (in my case i had few other asio interfaces that work fine with RW).

Luckily I was able to pin point the issue and fix it in registry.

Since i will be doing more of driver switching etc, i coded a small util to fix the issue quickly as i think it will be some time for next rw update.

It basically lets you change the asio driver for RW (it reads the available asio drivers in ASIO Registry and lets you assign one of those drivers to rw asio DeviceName).

so if your RW is not Starting up or giving no asio error or something you might wanna give this a try before going through a reinstall or whatever.

I hope it slows down some unnatural balding ;)

it also lets you clear the vst amp that loads automatically annoyance as discussed in this thread : http://www.sonomawireworks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=5555

I too had this issue that I tried to document in another thread. I ended up just uninstalling my Mic ASIO driver since it was the one that was causing it to fault out. I may reinstall it now and try your utility. Thanks!
