Does anyone know what causes the info layer adjustments to disappear? I thought this was a RiffLink only issue but it's happened on a song I recorded offline too! Arrrrrg!! :O

I lost a lot of work the other night and had to politely grump to support about it. Hey, it takes time to make all of these adjustments only to save and reopen it finding they are ALL missing :(

Has anyone come up with a workaround or reason for when/why this happens? I'll see if I can figure out what triggered it but maybe one of you already have? If so, please let us know....

If we do discover the culprit and cure let's post the solution here: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/Gain_Automation

Do any of you use this wiki? It's a GREAT feature that is probably under-utilized!

One of the causes is switching ASIO devices while the song is open and saving.

not sure but it seems to be some overflow inside RW, perhaps it sometimes is unable to read what it writes or under load loses its data.

I have seen and listened to many strange things happening under load especially with graphics in RW.

RiffWorks houses a team of ghosts who are temperamental about adjustments to the info layer...when you p*ss them off they scramble the audio. :O

Any answers from the Riffworks folks on this? Switching the input device might explain some of my problem but i don't think all of it, it happens to me all the time. Glad to at least know I'm not the only one.

It bugs the hell out of me too. I'd love for it to be fixed or to find a work around.
