Hi, I'm new here. Just purchased Riffworks Standard two days ago. Love it!
My question is; how do I authorize it without an internet connection? I downloaded and authorized it in my notebook. I use that for testing things, but my main studio box computer is in a different location and has NO INTERNET CONNECTION. No firewall, antivirus - nothing. I keep it stripped down and clean.

So how do I register RW and the several drum packs I just purchased? It said on the download page to contact support for this situation. I sent them an email right after my purchase, with a copy of my sales order, but haven't heard anything back yet. I've searched through the forum, but can't seem to find a definitive answer. Is there a way to transfer a code with a thumbdrive from my notebook to my studio setup? Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Hey, it's Miller time for everyone!

I'll try what they talked about and mess with it....I'm a computer guy. Most other programs I have let you register as an install option from another computer with an internet connection. Although I have 30 days, if I don't hear back from support soon, or figure this out, I'll have to take down my system and bring it to a location where there's a LAN cable. Besides the hassle, I really don't want to do that as there no protection whatsoever in my studio machine - and I'm not going to change that.

I've been playing with RiffWorksT4 for several weeks now after a long search for something quicker to put ideas down with besides my Cubase Studio 4. The prog is AMAZING! I cannot believe how much I can get done with it so fast. It's like everything you do sounds like a record (...well, not everything). I tried to build an emulation of it's workflow with a custom setup in Cubase, but it just wasn't the same. I also love that creamy output compressor that glues the whole mix together. Nice touch there.

RW is just so simple and cool, I had to buy it. Can't stop messing with it. Must get back to work now. I'll let the forum know if/how I get this all sorted out with the registration. It would be nice if support answered me though.

I went through that forum thread and nothing like this worked:

"I had not installed RiffWorks on my internet computer yet so when I did the same pop up came up asking for my Sonoma Key I entered it then it asked if I wanted to activate online or save the file. I chose the latter and thats when i got the Combined Registration Activation file."

None of this happens. There is nothing about "saving the file" after you enter your Sonoma key. Either you register it online or it just says you have only so many days left to demo it. None of the drums I purchased will load this way either. Maybe he had a different version of RW from Line 6? I purchased RiffWorks Standard online by itself. Good thing I didn't use up my second authorization in a second laptop. :(
