Hi to all. Love Riffworks.

I recently completed a song. I did a Mix to Riff. When I hit the "info" button on the "bounce" (the mixed riff), the pretty blue line that represent the audio level did not appear. Undeterred, I proceeded to "draw" a nice fade-out anyway. Problem is, after (and I believe a little during) the pretty fade-out, I could hear other tracks? I am completely confounded by where these tracks are coming from as I believe I am only playing the "bounced" track and no other tracks should be playing.

Also, I placed the "bounce" track in the song panel by itself. After it finished playing, including the above not-so-pretty-fade-out, it repeats automatically. Again, I do not know why.

If anybody has any insights or helpful information it would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Got to ask a silly question, are you sure you hit the right play button when you put it in the songline ?

The only time I ever remember seeing a riff that played whilst having nothing in the info panel was one that I had maxed out on the layer volumes, could it be that maybe ?
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

I had so much difficulty trying to fade out on songs that I quit trying. I just downloaded audacity for free. Mix the tune as a wav in RW, then open it with audacity. From there, I usually up the levels a bit over the whole song (the "amplify" effect in audacity), maybe add some bass boost, then use the fade out effect. Then I export that in Wav and Ogg. Then, instead of trying to riffcast directly through RW, I just go to riffworld, log in to my profile, and upload the Ogg there. It's apparently higher quality this way than by using the RW interface to one-button-riffcast it.
"I think the problem might have been, that there was a stonehenge monument on stage in danger of being crushed, by a dwarf". "I really think you're making a big thing out of this". "Making a big thing out of it would have been a good idea".
