Hello Fellow musicians,

Here is a way I record the Kontakt player application into riffworks. I have spent a few weeks downloading demo's of various rewire and VST plug-ins. Each application worked in some areas and not in others. Here is what I did..

I use M-audio as my sound card in riffworks. I also have an Audigy Sound-Blaster card that I do not use--until now. I open Kontakt Player as a stand-alone application, adjust the output setting in my Kontakt player to my Audigy Sound-Blaster. Run a chord from the speaker output of the sound Blaster (using an adapter) into the Guitar input of my M-audio. At this point the Kontakt Player is a musical instrument ready to record into riffworks. This method can be used with any sound card, it could be the sound card that came with the computer. However, you will need M-audio or related hardware. Well, this will work with what ever one plugs its guitar into.

I can use Amplitube to tweak the sound if I want. I have Drums, Bass, and a Grand Piano in my Kontakt player. These recordings are clear, no 3rd party software between Kontakt and riffworks. This is a solid system.
