It seems about every 60-90 days RiffWorks decides to crap out on me and it's always the same glitch to. What happens, and always when I'm trying to record something I really need to, it just goes into the stupid god damn loop where it will just record one track and then it just refuses to record anymore.

I've downloaded the most current version from Line6 2.22 so I'm as up to date as I think I can be.

I can't begin to tell you how sick and tired I am of this crap. I mean seriously, how much is it to ask just to able to record some simple riffs without having to get some tech guy on the phone every month? Then I have to listen to the tech guy tell me he's got no idea what's wrong....geez.

You sure you haven't accidentally hit the "Single Shot Record" tab ?? Sounds like a silly question, I know, but I've done it a few times :)

As up to date as you should be is that Line 6 version is no longer supported and you should crossgrade to RW Standard, only costs about $29 :)
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

I'll check that single shot thing out.

Thanks for the heads up about RW being no longer supported by Line6. Great to know I'll have to shell out another $30 for support. The rip-offs just keep on coming....

You know I have to agree with you there...I bought upgraded to standard before the L6 version was done...so I expect nothing and am happy with my purchase....but for people who where fine with the L6 version and are now being forced to upgrade....it's kind of a rip!!!!

I wouldn't mind so much if Riffworks AT LEAST WORKED!

Every 60-90 days it's the same stupid sh#t to.

So to whomever is responsible for marketing RiffWorks, try getting it to work before I'm blackmailed into having to upgrade!

Oh well, I'm out of the loop my friend, I have both versions and they both work fine. If you want to get your concerns noticed by Sonoma Wireworks you should address your thoughts to the Customer Service section of the forum.

Already did, but since there's no one manning the keyboards on the weekends I'll have to wait til Monday to be told I'll need to "crossgrade", lol.

Just so you know what's going on, every time I hit record the single shot function gets activated for some unknown reason and when I turn it off, it toggles automatically to play, shutting the record function off in the process.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Please email support directly and they'll get back to you. They often check in over the weekends:

This is easy, if the riff is very short it will only single shot record. I want to say 2 bars or less but not 100% sure. I always liked that if I'm doing a single ending it just plays one time which is great since theres nothing for me to keep time with after a single crash.

Just to let you know there really is no difference between the Line6 version and this one at this point. They both work function exactly the same except for a few features.

I've had the same problem with long riffs as well. RW will suddenly, and for no apparent reason, just switches to single shot mode.

Personally, I can't even understand why something as stupid as a single shot mode would even be included, it's utterly useless.

Now imagine you're trying to record a very short riff, why in the world would want a single shot mode to arbitrarily kick in and keep you recording the riff properly? It just makes no sense.
