Anyone else have this issue? I've been running this software with no troubles ( a crash here and there every month or 2, nothing too serious)

Last night it crashed 4 times while I was recording!
after the first 2 crashes, I rebooted. After the 3rd crash, I went in and found a new program my wife installed, snapfish or something - I disabled that in the startup programs and rebooted and verified no snapfish running in the task manager process tab. It crashed again. All 4 times last night was using line6 guitar-port

This morning I restarted my computer and ran RWS with no audio input device (computer sound-card) which I do often when not recording and only mixing. It crashed twice.

Running Windows Vista 64bit home premium
AMD Phenom quad core 2.5 GHz
6GB RAM

The only thing I can think of is the Windows Updates that have recently installed.

I guess I can try rolling back the last windows update and see what happens......

anyone else? HELP!!!

Hi Chris, I've had similar issues with W/Updates. RW crashes everytime an update comes in..Why? I'm using XP SP3, but the updates are few and far between. If you've had you're system a while and then decided to upload updates then I suppose there maybe quite a few...I don't know why this happens, sorry, but I would like an answer aswell...

I have always found RWS to be a bit moody. It's hard for me to even know what causes it to crash sometimes and other times, not but yeah, same for me. It's just something I've grown used to.

well, the good news is I was able to use RWS for about 3 hours last night without a single crash! No audio input device hooked up though. Wed. night I'm gonna get my RWS groove on and hopefully record some tracks without crashes.... !!! HOPEFULLY!!!!
