Anything new in the pipeline for Riffworks?

RiffWorks Recording Software (Mac/Win)

Was just wondering if Riffworks was still in development in so far as adding features to the software and/or improving parts of it. Is there anything forthcoming? Are there any features or improvements that we could expect? Will VST plugin support be available (for use AFTER recording the raw tracks)? Will there be a talkback function for Rifflink?

Just wondering if there was anything on the horizon, or if any anyone was testing or anything and knew anything about anything that they could say about anything without getting in trouble or anything.....

The Sonoma crew are at NAMM so we'll know soon eh? I personally can't wait to see what the IK folks are going to reveal.

Well Mickey if you're not beta testing anything, that says a lot! I'm always hopeful. I'd love to be able to set all my tones AFTER I've laid the tracks down. Talk about dialing in the perfect sound! That would sure make it easier!

Saw the video for the Record software by Propellerheads. That Time Shift feature they have is completely off the hook. Would be cool if Sonoma could incorporate something like that.

Haha, fear not, work is being done every day, and NAMM made us new connections that could also help. We're working our little fingers to the bone!

I started getting the feeling that Sonoma Wire Works was heading in a different direction with all the focus and effort being geared towards the iPhone apps - with very little being done in the RiffWorks environment. While it bothers me somewhat as I have no interest in creating music on my phone, it's forced me to really dig into Sonar much more and to start using more full fledged DAW applications.

I still use RiffWorks and hope that it does not just wilt away on the vine, but the signs have not been positive as the only announcements lately have been for phone based applications. It's funny that the PC market appears to be becoming the niche market while the phone sector is getting all the attention.

C'est la vie!

Definitely new stuff in the pipeline for RiffWorks. Needed to diversify with iPhone dev and new technology and content (DrumCore and Discrete Drums) to keep money and buzz coming in to support RiffWorks dev. RiffWorks will benefit from all of this. Plus there's a new engineer working on RiffWorld. New InstantDrummers being made... Our hearts are still in it :)

Cheers,
Michelle
