I downloading a crap load of instant drummers today........they are defiantly getting better.

But I have one installed, the Matt S Heavy Metal one, and it sounds like it is skipping........bare bones does this too...........anyone else experience this? Is there a fix for this or was it a bad download?

Just curious......

It may be that your RW temp setting is too slow. The BB tempo should be around 162. Hope this helps.

Bare Bones works right at the higher BPM's and my Matt Sorum Metal Head sounds very strange indeed, in fact unusable to my ears.
I was thinking of re-downloading and re-installing but am waiting to hear what the admins have to say. + everytime I download once it tales 2 downloads (out of 5) from me.... yes I'm only clicking once on the download button.......
Metal Head doesn't have a specified BPM so you have to guess where to set it........ If it is there , it's so tiny I can't see it!

Since you mention that your bare bones is also bad , I'm thinking "bad" download.
Pity about the Metal head because I was stoked about getting it after hearing Matt Sorum Basic....... I'v tried Metal Head at different BPM's just to check it out and maybe Matt Sorum simply bites at playing "Metal" he he....... I don't think so.

Weird you would assume that MS Metal Head and the bare bones would function the same as the rest at any BPM. Bare bones has not worked for me from day one with the new V2. I don't want to download any more and blow my 5 goes at it........

Any thoughts from the admins? Randy, Dave, Bueller, Bueller......LOL

I will take a listen to Metal Head and see whats going on.

Its very unlikely that redownloading will help.

mickeymix, sorry about the downloading going down twice. We have been unable to reproduce this problem. Is there anything special about your browser...etc (have you tried alternative browsers?)

Don't worry about the download count. We will reset it if you need it to be.

Metal Head medium works for me around 150. Anything under that and it gets sluggish and studders. Fast works around 172. And very fast works at 192.

Barebones works best at 162, but it will scale down to around 135.

Just trying to give a good baseline for BPM. If the IDs don't work around those numbers then there's a problem.

Hope that helps (sorry I can't offer any options for recourse).

Dan

Re Download counter numbers going down too fast

I note that you said you couldn't reproduce this behaviour.

I have used the download facility a number of times for Instant Drummers, and every time it drops by a count of two, even though I only click and download once. The same thing happened when I was downloading other program files.

Well .........at least we now know that :

A) Our beloved Mickeymix is not the only one
B) Aforementioned Mickeymix is not clicking twice on downloads
C) Mickeymix is not crazy..... he he he ...well maybe just a little!

Ok, I will take a look at this tomorrow. It sure is annoying. I will reset your download counts while I look at it.

thanks again

I thought this kit would completely rock but I like the Discrete ones better. Anyways the basic Matt Sorum demo part sounds fine at 120. They have the right idea by offering different speeds within the same kit.

I hear a little drag on the fills at medium even at 150BPM. Dont touch the variation knob on this one. IMO the variation knob at the medium makes it sound very unnatural.

Like I said a week ago on another thread, I wish they had put the suggested bpm on all of the IDs. It would save a lot of fiddling about unnecessarily.
Cheers!

Can someone give me a version number on the browser they are using when they have this "downloads down by 2" problem. I am using IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519

I got that monster number by going to the about box in IE.

If someone who is having the problem wants to download firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/)and see if the problem is there too, that would be helpful.

thanks guys!
