Do all instant drummers work with Line 6 Edition ? From your store that is ? Wonder why only some of them are available in Line 6 store.

The ones still available in the Line 6 store were the ones that were available for 1.1. They still only work for 1.1. You may purchase drummers from the Sonoma Store for your Line6 edition (v2).

The Line 6 site needs to be corrected. Their InstantDrummer installers are only for v1 customers, and only for windows. If you want to purchase additional InstantDrummers for RiffWorks Line 6 Edition (v2), they have to come from Sonoma Wire Works.

You do have to run the RiffWorks Line 6 Edition Register app before installing any drummers, including the two new free ones, MattSorum-Basic and Bare Bones.

See the guide for complete instructions on installing and registering the Line 6 Edition:

Ok, to be able to use the Sonoma Instant drummers all Line6 users first have to execute the file “RiffWorks Line 6 Edition - RiffWorks Registered Windows” from the Sonoma website. But when I do this an error message appears:

“It doesn’t appear that you have installed Riffworks Line 6 Edition. You must install Riffworks Line 6 Edition first.”

Well, that isn’t correct, because I installed this version and I can open (and can use) the application (and yes, I restarted my computer for several times), but still I get this error message.

Do you have RiffWorks installed in the default location? The registration application has a problem at the moment and is unable to location RiffWorks if it's installed in other locations. Here's a work around until we can get that fixed:

1. Temporarily copy the RiffWorks binary, RiffWorksLine6Edition.exe, to C:Program FilesSonoma Wire WorksRiffWorks Line 6 Edition"
2. Run the registration application.
3. Copy the binary back to the desired RiffWorks directory.

My 2.01 patch is installed. Register gives above message. - “It doesn’t appear that you have installed Riffworks Line 6 Edition. You must install Riffworks Line 6 Edition first." I swapped the original binary back. Register ran with out any error messages, but I was back to the original problem. V2.01 is now swapped back.

The box telling to download the two free drummers, and then my browser loading and taking me to the Sonoma store twice every time I start RiffWorks L6E is really getting annoying.

But, again, thanks for the help getting RW L6E to run on my rickety old computer.

(Please help me stop my browser from launching twice every time I open RiffWorks. I can't buy anything there until that Register thingy works.)
