Well here's one that turned out kinda cool.
It's all Bass and no Guitar, usually 3 or 4 Basses going on at all times.

Don't do this too often but I worked on the foundation of this song for maybe a month placed it on rifflink last night and despite the unhandled exception errors Rick Andrews and Rick Baker did their part in literally 1 take in maybe 30 minutes. I think their parts make this song worth posting and I really want people to hear their talent. And to be honest and self indulgent, I like the song too. Strong lyrics are hard to do so my Son offered the lyrics to me so I spun this up.

duh!!,.... I completely forgot about posting here too. Ya it's crazy just how fast a complete song post vanishes amongst all the partial pieces being posted. Don't get me wrong I'm all for posting ideas that have potential of being completed projects. It would be cool if there were two (2) topics to riffcast under "complete works/songs" & "partially completed works"

Just an idea

I know it's been a long time since I posted anything...so here goes. I was going through some old 4-track tapes and decided to give some old songs the re-record treatment with Riffworks. That's the only thing that seems to combat writer's block for me, re-do old stuff!

Here's the the first of hopefully many more, "Before Now":

Speaking of the world cup. Here is a song the Wiese posted in September of '08 Red Baron put me up to the lyrics as a prediction that Germany would win the World Cup. I rembered this and thought it was relevent.

A tiny snippet of a 'rockabily' version of "Umbrella" by Rhianna and courtesy of "The Baseballs", featuring my daughter on vox.

Guys - give a listen and a shout (i like being shouted at) to :
Shape of Things ... to Come
http://www.riffworld.com/Members/brillstereodeck/theshapeofthingstocome

Me : Rhythm Guitar(s), Bass Synth, Keyboards, Drum Programming
and a big thanks to :
Fooks - Vocals/Lyrics - 2nd Lead Guitar - Additional Keys
DesertBurst - Bass
Xailok - Arabesque Lead Motifs
Trikloretyn - 1st Lead Guitar

This is now a complete and much much better mix (well I think so .. you tell me) - using Acid Pro and treating each riff with its own eq, compression, and effects, to give it some clarity and hopefully you can hear everything.

Please let me know if you like It
... its only knock and know all, but I like it....

This is an older cast but I think it shows what can be done with a little imagination. Not all casts have to be commercial type songs. With RiffWorks we have the ability to just have some fun and not worry about getting paid or played. There are some 60+ riffs in this monster - but RW managed to handle it.

Song: 70's AM Radio Flashback - 16 junkies gone mad (credits and other notes shown in shouts for the song)

All the best! :)

I agree with everything the last chap said! And I love the line about not arguing with idiots. The best you can hope for when you argue with an idiot is a draw. And life's too short for that :-)
