Your Politicians - Suggestion

Figures are not my thing, but current US population is about 300 mill, so if your Govt has got 700 Bill (not the Unc) to throw around, why not just give everyone a million dollars, that way they could pay off their mortgages, the banks would still get the money, and there'd be no sub-prime crisis......Can you elect foreigners, and is it too late for me to be named as a candidate? I'd name Mickey as my running mate, and the junkies will get control of everything....

Actually that's a really good idea Colin. I'd vote for you. Hell, I'd vote for an orangutan right about now.

I never understood the 2-party system. To me, a choice between just two guys isn't much of a choice at all. On one side, you've got a tottering old geezer who will probably continue the failed policies of the current administration. And on the other side, you've got an outright socialist who thinks that wealth redistribution is the cure for everything. I vote none of the above!

We've got a Congress with Democrats blaming Republicans, Republicans blaming Democrats, and neither of them doing a damned thing to change the tide. The only thing either side is worried about is re-election in 5 weeks.

Yesterday I saw House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on TV after the bailout bill had failed to pass. She spent several minutes congratulating her colleagues for their hard work. Excuse me??? They didn't DO ANYTHING!! To add to it, they're taking a day off today. I guess all that jaw-flapping, finger-pointing, and doing nothing gets tiring after a while.

Sorry for the rant, this just puts my blood pressure through the roof.
