I'm sure you are not alone here...I too experienced some crashes but only in RiffWorks. It's a first version release (1.0) so expect some bugs! Guess we just gotta be patient and hope Line 6 works this stuff out?

Also, Sonoma team is hopefully testing this....right???

Man i have been having some freezes in RW lately too with podfarm when i tried to rifflink but gave up.

It seems RW and podfram are currently not 100% compatible.

One case is if in RW you click the host sync button. perhaps its not implemented in RW yet and it's freezing.

Also in RW i am unable to drag the presets to second channel. Perhaps some parameters of vst not implemented in RW VST Gui Yet.

Mark/Jisg, the problem you are facing seems very strange. and it surely is not RW specific.

Now that since you have tried uninstalling/reinstalling and doing everything else.

Here are few things you can try.
1.Set the line 6 asio driver to 16 bit and 44100 or 48000 also set buffer to maybe 512.
2. assuming your presets are stored in my documents/line 6 folder.

i would suggest for a try rename both the podfarm presets folder and gearbox presets folder to something else like xpodfarm, xgearbox so that the podfarm plugin does not find any presets in your system. i.e making sure its not some preset that it's scanning causing the crash.

Also if you load your vst and do nothing else does it still automatically crash on it's own?

In monkey it does show that podfarm is activated right? (the green thing)

Colin, just memorize the quarter note(4th note) symbol all rest is simple and related.

quarter = solid roundy with a vert line or a golf club

if the roundy is hollow and has a vert line its double the quart i.e a half note.

if there aint no vert line its a whole note.

if the vert has 1 flag then its a half quart i.e 8th note.
if two flags 16th and so on.

if the symbol has 3 with it its a triplet and if a dot , it's a dotted whatever note.

no need to memorize it at all, just use it for a day or two and it would be second nature to you.

That's for sure

One case is if in RW you click the host sync button. perhaps its not implemented in RW yet and it's freezing.
I couldn't find the post that someone said that RW is not on the list of compatible programs, I read it last night and can't find it today...don't remember if he gave a reason with any validity

Mark/Jisg, the problem you are facing seems very strange. and it surely is not RW specific.
it wouldn't surprise me if Line6 rushed this out the door like they did the X3...1 year later and we are still waiting for simple bug fixes...the drivers are crazy

Here are few things you can try.
1.Set the line 6 asio driver to 16 bit and 44100 or 48000 also set buffer to maybe 512.
the X3 drivers freeze and are "grayed out" at 4800 when RW is the client...can't change anything but CPU speed...another oddity of the X3 drivers
2. assuming your presets are stored in my documents/line 6 folder.
never looked for them

i would suggest for a try rename both the podfarm presets folder and gearbox presets folder to something else like xpodfarm, xgearbox so that the podfarm plugin does not find any presets in your system. i.e making sure its not some preset that it's scanning causing the crash.
you know something?...I think I'm just going to live without PodFarm until it gets updated...It seems to work with all of the top notch DAWs (ie. ProTools...)I just couldn't stand not having what most everyone else is playing with and the GUI does looks fun and it has been virtually the same since GuitarPort...it was sort of a G.A.S. fix for free. It sure has paid off for Line6 -- all kinds of new newbs on the forum in the last 4 days

Also if you load your vst and do nothing else does it still automatically crash on it's own?
Yep! within no more than 30 seconds and BAM

In monkey it does show that podfarm is activated right? (the green thing)
Yes it's shown as activated...during one of the reinstalls I gave the Monkey the secret activation "REFRESH" activation code for grins but it didn't change anything

Thanks a lot for getting back to me Amit

update:i tried asio setting to default buffer size 512 and bit depth 32 and got pops and glitches on everything i touched. ive now got it set to buffer size 256 and 16 bit and its running really well.got the tone direct monitoring set to extra small 2nd notch in. also i tried beta riffworks standard 2946 build and it crashed all the time, constantly.ive gone to build 2930 and its fine with no problems.ive dragged and dropped the pod farm vst file into my vst custom file and all my vst,s are showing up in ableton 7.ie:pod farm vst/amplitube live vst/amlitube x gear vst and m-audio keyboard vst key rig.all my presets are showing in pod farm including gearbox.hope this helps someone.using toneport ux2 line 6.pod farm working fine as standalone.ps:its addictive so beware !!!should come with a health warning.

Are you using the stand alone or the plugin Triky?

Maybe I've not understood then, but i just set up a dual tone in the standalone version, switched the effects off (or maybe don't even have any effects in the chain) and then recorded and it worked fine....If you keep you mouse over each effect in farm you should see a red button appear which allows you to switch the effect off. But as I say I may have misunderstood what you mean...

Ah, but that's the same in gearbox isn't it? If you use the standalone version and have effects on they will be recorded as part of the signal. The only way to do what you want is to use the plugin I think....

no if you had send 1&2 on riffworks you had effects.
when you had send 3&4 you didnt have any effects .

but i guess it depends on what toneport you have i have the ux1.

and it looks like it works as im used to when you dont use dual tones!
