Got any tips for running Vista? Share them here.

Update soundcard and video drivers from manufacturer, on a clean install of Vista, Vista automatically installs all drivers for almost all devices, but your manufacturers drivers are probably more up to date and reliable.

Turn off eye candy while recording if you have hicups, performance type set to best performance. All of those fancy transparent fades and shadows love memory. You can turn it right back after.

Set automatic updates to notify but not download, it's important to stay current, but you don't want windows updating in the middle of recording something.
