Hi Guys
the download from the Line 6 Site is free for Gearbox User.
Now my Question...
is this a Plug in or a Stand alone Version???
Is the Standalone better as the Plug in ??
The Store in my Hometown sell the plug in for 99 Dollar.
And Line 6 gives the Standalone for free ?? Why ???

I just use the standalone. If you only use it with Riffworks, there is no point in the Plugin and RW can only handle VSTs on the front end, and you always get a bit of latency that way anyway.

I downloaded pod farm and tried using the stand alone app, but it says "no authenticated device connected" (or something like that.... it's late).

I have a Pod XT.... has anyone got this working with the `free` ampfarm upgrade from gearbox?

I bought the gearbox + model pack deal about a month or two ago.

Losty,
for us the podxt and podx3 owners the plug-in is the only option. The standalone is not for us as of now.

The standalone is free for Guitarport and Toneport owners.

There is NO standalone for Pods at this time. Pod X3's get the plug in for FREE though.

Anyone who owns Gearbox Plug In gets Pod Farm plug in for FREE, (it's the same thing, really, just prettier with dual tone patches).

Um...just before i purchase metal-shop...

Am i right in understanding as an owner of a toneport ux2 and gearbox - i can download the pod farm standalone for use with Gearbox and riffworks.

Will this Pod Farm give me better sounds than upgrading my gearbox to the metal-shop add on?

That is bitchin' :D

Mickey tell me - can you recomend any instant drummers that have some good bare components that allow you to hi-hat for a bar or cymbal crashes etc. One thing i find quite difficult is the flexibility of instant drummer between song parts.

Cheers matey :)
