strychninekid,

I think the Taxi membership fee is worth the money, especially if you can go to the yearly conference. The first year is $300 then it is cheaper to renew after that.
Take a look at the listings they have. They update them on the 1st and the 15th of the month.

I myself am just looking for song placements and writing for other artists. I don’t want an artist deal.

My opinion is if you want to make money writing songs, you have to write what the market is looking for or be lucky and hope you catch a break.
Check out some of my Tunes on My Space and send me a friend request.

Heres a funny one for you. I know a guy who is using the second life game engine to make a virtual College campus where you pay real money in real life to go to virtual online classes from your P.C. He (myron) is giving a demonstration to Chico state next month for his Idea. He is tryng to get more funding. If the gas prices had stayed up it would heve been a shure deal but now we will have to wait and see.(SEE ALEX this idea was thinking outside the box). No matter what, the Gas prices will go up again, I predict starting around January. So even if he doesn't get funding in December by summer they will throw the cash at him again.

Oh and no Cwight second life isn't really a MMOG it's more of a sick virtual reality..
Although I did talk to him about setting to have riffworld songs streamed into his campus radio.. And eventually NinJam will be replaced by: {(heads up Sonoma team)} ---This kind of virtual reality Jam session probably built off of the second life engine.

I'll tell ya if you ask you shall recieve but in the end what is your goal in music. You do need to define what you are trying to accomplish. If you want to make a living at it mabe you can get a professional in your style to mentor you. In the end the people will let you know what is good since they are your paycheck not the critics. Just an opinion.

Hey I just came across this site www.stereofame.com that seems pretty cool. You post your music and earn points for people downloading your stuff. There are charts and monthly contests.. As well as listeners that are I guess you would say virtual labels that sign you to their label. So far it is quite easy and user friendly. They also have a point store and you can buy stuff with it and not just junk. They sell laptop computers and other stuff I saw a Gibson guitar as well!

Gibson Custom 50th Anniversary 1958 ES-335 Electric Guitar
Retail Value: $3,900

Peace Rich
