I know this guy, John Brown. He does the setup work on my instruments. Ya couldn't know a nicer or, more humble guy! He invented this "Fretted-Less" bass concept and it looks like it's finally taking off. He's had the patent for years! And holy buckets!!! He can PLAY too, this guy!! Respect :):):)

Check out the video featuring John playing the bass he designed:

Cool stuff! Lead lines, whammy bars, distortion and divebombing ... ON A BASS!!
Is it 'The Edge' in disguise?! :)
Cheers!

Yeah, he and his bro used to have the "Fanatics", they were a cool group to see. I have not seen him in about 10 years but I know the bro sells stuff on eBay as a powerseller. Their guitarist used to use this old Peavey Renoun, a strat, forget his name offhand, very tasteful player though, shunned a p[ick for the most part from what I recall.

Jonny has done some work on a guitar or two for me.. he's always been a straight up guy and very laid back-cool, takes a bit to irk him I believe arbitrarily I did manage at least once.

Pretty cool concepts he's combined from typical guitarist applications and applied them to realm of expression/solo for bassists. The loop thing-EJ, fretless from 12 fret up is take off of partially scalloped freboard, whammy - you name 'em.
