This will have to be my last for a while, but I'm very excited about this one. The Tele and the HRD had to go to help me finance this, but they were not getting any love for a while.

Anyways I've completed my order for a very special guitar that will essentially be built for me with the options I chose and shipped directly to me. I won't get it until Feb maybe March when the building is done.

I wanted a real rocker this time thats comfortable and light with singing sustain so I'm getting the Axis.

I'll probably try to pick up another Tele if I ever find a special one, but wasn't too attached to it like an older one I had.

Schweeeet! I'm a big ernie ball fan myself .. have a 90's Stingray 5 bass and a brand new Steve Morse Y2D guitar. Great stuff, those necks look amazing.

I'd love to try a Morse, but I've never seen one around here. I'm playing a Luke now, and couple of Subs.

The shop where I bought mine had an Axis, a Morse Y2D, a Silhouette special edition, and an Alvin Lee. I tried them all and ended up with the Morse Y2D -- it was close though, the Silhouette was in the running too! The Y2D looked incredible though and it had a little bit more range of tone with the 3rd pickup. The axis was out of the running for me right away as I'm not a trem/whammy kinda guy at all, wanted a fixed bridge or at least close to it.

I should have metioned it was an Axis Super Sport hardtail. The Sihlouette was high on my list too, but most of those tones are covered by my Luke, which can easily go from metal, to country, to blues, but I wanted a hot neck humbucker.

They are working on a 25th anniversary Axis model that will be available after the holidays supposedly, with a mahogany block inside, forearm contour, and chambered body, wow. I need a second job.
