so,
I was reading about the M-Audio Keystation. Being a 64 bit Vista user, I am very weary about buying audio hardware, because no one makes 64 bit drivers (that i have seen, minus Line 6).
M-Audio's webpage said that there were no 64 bit drivers, but it is Plug and Play compatible, and i wouldnt need the Driver CD for the base functions.
so i went out and bought a Keystation 61 ES. plug it in and....nothing.
windows cant find any suitible drivers, and tells me to insert the cd. i do so, and, it tells me no suitible drivers have been found.
$178, and a few hours wasted.
it says on this page that it will work: http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.faq&ID=eb9f0efb627c714c14975ec36d084e44

it would be an outright lie.

Very, VERY pissed.

on the bright side, i got my free upgrade pro-tools 8 LE, and even though they say it wont work at all on 64 bit vista, it works flawlessly for me.

Says it is class compliant, others seem to be having a issue/no issue life with it in Vista 64, try a different usb cable?

Here check this.. or try googling more on it for a solution

I think I can solve your problem you need to set up a multi boot computer running vista and windows xp. I have 3 operating systems on my dell and with storage so cheap you can do anything you want. On boot up just pick witch one you want. If you have never done it before its a little tricky but it can be done. Do some research on it.Good luck vinny

i managed to get it working. i called their tech support (about 45 minutes on hold), and was told to buy a new version of windows. greeaaattt.
i formatted my HD, coppied the plug and play drivers from an XP pc, and moved the keyboard to a USB hub (wouldnt work directly in for some reason).
its working. but i had to do it all on my own.
