I guess this guys been around a while but he's new to me. Awesome sound here, and love those older bluesy ones too. Some one want to tell me the essential album to get?

Hey GS...I got introduced to Joe Bonamassa's music by a good friend of mine a few years ago.Yeah!! this guy plays great blues/rock,electric or acoustic his stuff is fantastic.
The album that stuck out for me was.."Had To Cry Today". Check it out man, theres some very impressive stuff on it...but thats only my opinion.

Thanks, actually picked up New Day Yesterday great hard driving blues rock all the way through. Also didn't realize the title track is a Jethro Tull cover. Love it.

Yep Had To Cry Today is also great. His new stuff is just over the top. Wow! Check out the slow hand Les Paul tone on this track. Vocals are awesome too. On one track on John Henry he plays a baritone through a theramin, summoning the gods of rock and breaking new ground and still sounding like the blues.
