Ok time to for some humble pie. Let's hear your very first post ever.

This is my oldest one I could find, I believe there was one more older but I couldn't find it. I don't know what is more annoying, Matt Sorum demo drummer or this When I Drum Around demo drummer from old. The date was 3-27-2005.

Woo Hoo, that was a killer first post Jason! Here's my first! October of 2005. Not too bad for a newb, in fact I think they all went down hill fast from this... anyway it's proof that I actually play guitar too!

My 1st post going back to Riffworks version 1 (the red GUI) recorded back in July 05 (but posted in Feb 06) before I knew Riffcaster even existed......turned on my PC and had some new Icons magically appear on my desktop. I was initially annoyed thinking "bloody spammers" then checked it out eventually..... had to figure out how to e-mail the OGG file to get it to post......the guys I heard on Riffcaster Bobbo, Bluesydude, Rick Andrews, Kenny Medina, Stevie5150 etc were all rock stars to me and it took a lot of nerve just to post that 1st song........ah the good old days. :)

Mickey, I know you weren't talking about me. I was didn't even have bass and I was trying to figure out what this "layer" and "riff" thing was all about. So I created a couple of riffs and then just started jamming. I feel I've come a long way since those early days and this software package is the reason why. Any way it is http://www.riffworld.com/Members/bluesydude/Jammin/

4th May 2005 - http://www.riffworld.com/Members/scott/dream/

This was pre-RiffLink times and with Version 1 of the RW software. Looking back at the shouts, it's the first time Rick and I 'met' and discussed our instruments (ooer missus!!!) ;)
Cheers!
Scott

I had a real piece of humble pie on this one. With all my pissing and moaning about the demo drummer, guess what I used on my first RW song - you guessed it. Here's pooter in October 2006 doin a little blues wankery:

http://www.riffworld.com/Members/pooterpatty/PootersBluesJam1/

An interesting side note - the guitar I used for this song is no more. It was an Ibanez RG with a Floyd Rose that I was never able to keep in tune. It frustrated me so much one night that I went Pete Townsend on it and smashed it against a wall.

Great first posts by all, it's interesting to see how much we've all progressed since then - back in the days of emailing OGG files. Memorieeeeessss....

The first one I collaborated on, thanks to Sig getting me into the software. I had recently bought a set of Roland drums and they had been gathering dust until we recorded that day. I was kinda nervous and really impressed with the talent on this site. I wanted to do a good job:)

I didn't register until July of last year, so I don't have the history that others have.

The first song I rifflinked for others to jam on:

edit:

If someone would change me from "member" to "The not so instant drummer" I wouldn't mind much:)

The start of my very short and very annoying rifflink career, backed of course by the tireless Matt `Demo` Sorum LOL Is there any riff he can't add excitement too.... ?
