I quite liked that first post of yours Mick, a bit different to your usual stuff ( not that I don't like your `usual stuff` LOL)

Was really looking forward to listening to all these tonight, but I can't get them to load. I've listened to Robby's, Mick's, Bluesydude's, and Trik's. I don't think I'd heard any of these, just great.

Seems like some 10 of my first riffcasts are gone from the Riffworld site. I remember that when they remade the site in the beginning of 2008 Sonoma was to convert the old riffcasts to the new site but obviously mine didn't. Fortunately I have all my projects on my harddrive so here is a repost of my first riffcast, RiffRaff. I changed the mix slightly since the drums were messed up, haven't opened the project in over 1 year and I guess some of the demodrummers must have changed since then.

No bass and the drummers are the demo drummers MekanicBeats, Habanero-Bridge and "When I drumaround". Before this I hadn't done any digital recording whatsoever and this is also my first attempt for a guitar solo (I used to play bass in some rock bands some 20 years ago). The main riff is stolen from YES.

One thing that makes a huge difference from the first version is that the pumping from the old master compressor is gone, the new one seems to apply compression in two stages which really sounds much better! I have not done any mastering on this one. This must be the first Riffcast I've done from within Riffworks for almost a year now :-)

I joined and it took a while to get the nerve to post something but I heard the RiffRumble Mothers Day contest and wrote this for my mom, but I lacked confidence to enter. This will probably note why. :) But my mom loves it still today.

This is my oldest one I could find, I believe there was one more older but I couldn't find it. I don't know what is more annoying, Matt Sorum demo drummer or this When I Drum Around demo drummer from old. The date was 3-27-2005.

Great riffs Slingy! its funny to go back and read the shouts on it though.. its like you're talk'n greek or something compared to the terms used now... what was "rifftracker" anyway?

All of these old posts are great.. enjoying listening to em all..

April of 06.

Luckily, sonoma keeps track of these things, because if it were left up to me, I'd currently be searching through two or three backup images of hard drives to find the damn thing! Ten years ago, I'd have been shuffling through a box of 4 track cassette tapes trying to find that first song I did.

I think I used odd time slink on this one.
