Who knows, might be a good jam buddy. I heard that Floyds were a PITA but didn't realize they were terrifying LOL 12 Pack o' Beer eh?

Hey, he just wants his strings changed. Show him once and maybe he won't be so afraid. Plus you get some suds for your trouble. :)

Oh come on. Changing strings on a floyd rose isn't THAT hard. I own an ibanez equivalent to the floyd rose.

I wonder if he has the Floyd I or Floyd II? I believed the first ones you had to cut the strings (the ball end) cause you had to crimp them using the torque screws on the bridge. The second ones I think were strung through which is why those sucked. Yeah not hard, just a pain in the ass to tune.

I don't even get me started if one string breaks while on stage. :(

I know a lot of guys who love double locking trems, they're just not for me. IMO they suck tone from the instrument, it's time-consuming and frustrating to change strings, if the pitch of one string changes, they all go out of whack, tuning the thing takes 20 minutes, etc etc.

We can put a man on the moon, but we can't create a decent tremolo system for an electric guitar. :rolleyes:
