Really good, "X Factor?" Is this a version of American Idol or Who's Got Talent?

It is my understanding that a guy called Simon Fuller created the whole shebang and it all kicked off in Australia. The fabulous Mr Cowell stole the whole idea and introduced it in UK under the same name "Pop Idol". Mr Fuller took Mr Cowell to the cleaners and they had to change the name so it became "X Factor". In the meantime Cowell and co under the trade name "19 Management" and "Sico" or "Psycho" or similar brought it to USA under the name "American Idol". You will notice when the credits roll Mr Fuller has ensured that his name is on there big time :P
