NAMM: Discrete Drums Content Coming to RiffWorks Recording Software
--Sonoma Wire Works and Discrete Drums announce Discrete Drums drum content coming to RiffWorks' InstantDrummer format.--

Anaheim, CA - January 20, 2006 -- Sonoma Wire Works™ and Discrete Drums® have entered into an agreement to bring Discrete Drums' original multi-track drum sessions to RiffWorks' InstantDrummer™ format. This will give RiffWorks™ recording software users even more high quality drum recordings to incorporate into their music.

Doug Wright from Sonoma Wire Works says, "We are excited to have Discrete Drums industry acclaimed content for the RiffWorks community. With the stand alone version of RiffWorks coming for PC and Mac OS X (including Intel Macs), offering new features such as RiffLink online collaboration and RiffCaster instant podcasting technology, RiffWorks users have a lot to look forward to."

Rick DiFonzo from Discrete Drums says, "These collections will give RiffWorks users more options than they've ever had (without hiring a drummer). We hope you are inspired by the performances of these amazing drummers, and spend many happy hours creating. That's what it's all about - creativity. Enjoy."

RiffWorks' recording software includes a unique InstantDrummer that easily adds drummer content into RiffWorks users' recordings. InstantDrummer offers a range of intensities and adjustable variation for each drummer session with no programming necessary. Discrete Drums' multi-track drum sessions are recorded with professional drummers in cutting-edge studios. They are a perfect fit with RiffWorks' InstantDrummer technology.

About Discrete Drums
"Discrete Drums was born of necessity," states Rick DiFonzo. "When I tried to use drum libraries in my work as a composer/producer, I quickly found even the best sounding ones tied my hands. Others sounded so dreadful that they were useless right out of the box. One in particular was very impressive to listen to, consisting of well recorded, huge pounding rock drums, lots of reverb, very commanding. However, when I used these in a song, they did not work as well as I'd imagined. In some cases the reverbs were way too much, I wanted more kick, a whole host of problems appeared. Not wanting to use a drum machine, I called some old friends, went into the studio, and Discrete Drums was born."
