RIFFRUMBLE I SONG CONTEST
For general information about RiffRumble and a history of past contests, check out the About RiffRumble page.

In 2005 Sonoma Wire Works and Line 6 hosted the first RiffRumble Battle of the Riffs to celebrate the launch of RiffCaster, the internet broadcast service for RiffWorks users. RiffRumble players submitted original songs created with RiffWorks recording software. The public voted for their favorite song and the winner was Bill Coulton for his song Blues? Nah!. All RiffRumble I songs are posted on this submission page.

BILL COULTON INTERVIEW

SWW: How long have you been using RiffWorks?
BC: I've been using the RiffWorks software for exactly seven months today.

SWW: How long have you been playing guitar?
BC: I've been playing for 20 years.

SWW: What gear did you use to create Blues Nah.ogg?
BC: I used a Fender Stratocaster with a Guitar Port and the RiffWorks. That's it.

SWW:Are you in a band?
BC: I have a cover band here in New Jersey called Red Cross. (It.s because we are all sick and need help from the Red Cross! Lol I also just write my own instrumentals playing all the parts myself using the RiffTracker to put them all together.

SWW: You've posted several songs to RiffCaster. What do you like most about sharing your music that way?
BC: I love to get my music out to other musicians. I love to get feedback on which way I should go with my material. Using the RiffCaster is a great way of doing that. I've met a lot of great people in this community. (Props To Wes! Lawless33)

SWW: Promoting your music is an important part of being a musician. How did you promote your song on RiffRumble?
BC: I had to make sure that everyone I know had their hands in it. I compete my songs on other on-line sites, which gave me a lot of listeners as well.

SWW: Also, what drummers and model packs do you already own from Line 6?
BC: I have Alley Cat, Gas Up and Go, and Heavy Core Too that I use for Drummers. I don.t really use anything else but my Guitar Port for my tones. Thank you all for giving me this chance to display my music to the world. You guys are the best.
