RiffWorks Reviewed on Guitar Player TV
"Riffworks is a really straightforward software program designed for guitar and bass players. The interface is designed to have the familiar real world look and feel of guitar gear rather than a typical confusing, complicated digital audio workstation."

Sonoma Wire Works RiffWorks Standard 2
"Sonoma Wire Works have set a fine standard here - their software is genuinely different from everyone else's and all the more appealing for it. A fine sequencing solution for guitarists, particularly those who fancy a bit of online collaboration action." Rated 4.5 out of 5!

RiffWorks Makes Songwriting Easy!
"This is a really fun bit of software, it really takes me back to when my brother and I got our first 4-track (Yamaha MT100II) and started recording song after song. The key to RiffWorks is that it has been tailored to creating songs by Riffs (not suprisingly!). So you can just keep adding layer after layer without touching the computer and it keeps each take which you can also set to mute as it finishes so that you can do multiple takes."

RiffWorks Review (June 2007 Issue)
"The concept behind the program makes perfect sense and it can therefore be picked up extremely fast...RiffWorks has abandoned the well-worn timeline path of sequencers such as Cubase or Logic and is built around the basic musical components of a song...RiffWorks does keep its promise: intuitive usage and a lot of fun."

Long Distance Relationships
"RiffWorks looks and feels like a vintage multitrack tape setup, complete with a suite of vintage guitar VST effect plug-ins. The software is extremely easy to use and acts as your stand-alone sketch-pad recording environment and online collaboration client. Clicking on the RiffLink button [takes you to the] collaboration service, where any musician (as many as 4 at a time) can join your session and work with you on the same song. Each instrument layer is streamed to participants' computers, as well as saved on the Sonoma server for users who wish to contribute later. As song changes are made, they are instantly uploaded by that user's RiffWorks client and displayed to the other musicians only when fully downloaded. It all happens behind the scenes, appearing transparent and instant."

RiffWorks Standard 2 (Issue 45)
"Guitarists have traditionally shied away from loopbased recording, believing it to be more suitable to electronica and hip hop genres than to styles more commonly associated with the guitar. However, with more and more musicians turning to the digital realm for inspiration, even the most thick-skinned guitarists are beginning to use elements of loopbased music in their compositions."

RiffWorks Version 2.0
"I haven't spent as much time as I would have liked with RiffWorks yet, but from the time I have used it, it is a very easy to use, feature filled, great sounding application for quick, moment-on-inspiration type work. Sometimes when you just stumble across a good idea and don't feel like firing up your whole DAW to get a quick take, RiffWorks is easy to start and lay down a quick track of two. A digital scratch pad, if you will."

Cool Gizmo Alert: RiffWorks
Riffworks comes with it's own drum looping application called InstantDrummer What sets InstantDrummer apart from a program like Acid, is that you can vary the complexity of the loops with the turn of a virtual knob. By cranking up the "intensity knob the loop becomes more complex...more fills, variations etc... How do they do that?!!! This beats the hell out scrolling through hundreds of loops to get the groove that you want.
