DrumCore FREE is a fully working version of the DrumCore 3 AU/VSTi/RTAS plug-in. The ways it differs are:

DRUMKITS
DrumCore FREE only includes two (2) kits vs. DrumCore which has over 100, and DrumCore Deluxe, which has even more! DrumCore FREE Kits include a great rock/pop kit, a subwoofer-thumpin' hip-hop kit, and a sprinkling of Latin Percussion sounds. DrumCore FREE is not expandable with add-on DrummerPacks, which include more DrumKits, like DrumCore and DrumCore Deluxe are.

GROOVES
DrumCore FREE only includes the Basic Beats "Rock Pop 101" GrooveSet (as both audio loops and MIDI) plus the Urban GT "HipHop Classics (1-4)" and Song Beat GrooveSets (as MIDI files) vs. the thousands of grooves in DrumCore and DrumCore Deluxe. DrumCore FREE is not expandable with add-on DrummerPacks, which include more GrooveSets, like DrumCore and DrumCore Deluxe are.

DRUMCORE TOOLKIT
DrumCore FREE only includes the DrumCore plug-in, and not the toolkit app. DrumCore 3 and DrumCore Deluxe include both the DrumCore plug-in and the "DrumCore Toolkit" standalone application, which let users add their own audio loops and drum samples to DrumCore.

Requirements:

• Mac OS: G4, G5 or Intel processor 1 GHz or faster, 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended), 1.25 GB of available Hard Drive space, 1024 X 768 minimum display resolution, Mac OS X (v10.4 or higher)
• Windows: Intel Pentium® 4 or Duo 1Ghz processor or AMD equivalent, 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended), 1.25 GB of available Hard Drive space, 1024 X 768 minimum display resolution, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7

Tested and Qualified On: Logic Pro 8 (32 bit only), Cubase 4 and up (32 bit only), ProTools 7.4.2 and up, Digital Performer 6, Live 6 and up, Sonar 8 (32 bit only), Tracktion 3, Acid 7, Garage Band 09.

• DrumCore 3 VST Plug-In Update: This is an updated DrumCore 3.DLL file that is a new version of the PC VST plug-in. It solves problems that a few Cubase 5.x PC users were experiencing. If you use Cubase on Windows (XP or Vista) download the file and extract the file for the version of DrumCore you are using. Then place it wherever you have your VST plug-ins (commonly C:\Program Files\Vstplugins). NOTE: This is a manual install, it will *not* put the DrumCore 3 VST plug-in in any folder automatically.

• DrumCore Toolkit 3 (Build 8): DrumCore 3 Toolkit update for Windows users only. It resolves an issue with QuickTime. All DrumCore 3 Windows users should update to this build.

• DrumCore 2.5 to 2.5.1 Update: This fixes a problem created with the release of Mac OS 10.5 where DrumCore 2.5 users were prompted to register even though they had already done so. This update is recommended for all DrumCore 2.5 users.

• DrumCore 2.5 Update for Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) Users: This utility lets you run current DrumCore installers on Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard).
  How to use the 10.5 "Install Launcher" utility:
  1. Download SbmrsblInstallLauncher.zap.zip
  2. After unzipping/decompressing you will have an application called "Submersible Install Launcher.app."
  3. Double click and launch Submersible Install Launcher.app.
  4. If your DrumCore 2.5 install disk is mounted when the app starts-up, the launcher app see's the disk and validates it as being a good installer. It will ask for your user name and password and then launch the DrumCore installer from that disk.
  5. If no installer disks are found when the Install Launcher app starts-up, then the launcher simply gives you a spot to drag and drop your disk or disk image (a .DMG file). Then you can insert your disk, or drag and drop an unmounted disk image (.DMG) to this spot. This is good for any DrumCore downloadable installer issues you might have as they are in .DMG format.
