Sonoma Wire Works was founded 15 years ago on 03.03.03! We've come a long way since our start in an outbuilding in Sonoma County, launched many products, moved 9 times, worked with the best people who we truly appreciate, met fantastic customers, partners and artists, and we look forward to much more. Fourth in a series of Bernard "Pretty" Purdie GrooveSets for DrumCore 4, "Kid C" lays down upbeat and funky rhythms covering everything from anticipated syncopated patterns to powerful fills that help these loops sit perfectly in the pocket. This DC4 GrooveSet includes 47 audio loops and fills (109 MB) for $4.99.
"BP Sweat", Purdie's first GrooveSet, is triple-the-size of most GrooveSets, including 248 audio loops (534 MB) for $14.99. The second was "BP Chase", an uptempo set of funk grooves with that unmistakable cop drama car chase scene vibe, then "BP Lialeh", a laid back groove from the 1974 Lialeh film by the same name. Purdie's audio loops are 48kHz/24-bit stereo files recorded on the Pearl Custom Masters Drum Kit at Jankland Recording in New Jersey. Purdie’s multi-velocity sampled Drum Kit for DC4, and more new samples by Purdie and other drummers are coming soon.
About Purdie: The world's most recorded drummer, Purdie is known for his signature "Purdie Shuffle," his precise timing, and the feel and attitude that he brings to the mix. Purdie has played and recorded with Steely Dan, James Brown, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Larry Coryell, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, and many other well-known artists.
Discrete Drums is known for producing great sounding drum tracks that were recorded in high-end studios by renowned drummers, engineers and producers. Three new Discrete Drums audio loops are now nine Discrete Drums' GrooveSets in DC4's Store. All Discrete Drums content in DC4 is offered as 16-bit/44.1kHz stereo audio loops.
EarthBeat GrooveSets feature premiere session percussionist Eric Darken and ace drummer Greg Morrow. Like most Discrete Drums collections, EarthBeat was produced by Rick DiFonzo, the co-founder of Discrete Drums. It was recorded in Studio E at the Sound Kitchen in Cool Springs, TN by Steve Marcantonio. Eric Darken has recorded with Bon Jovi, Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, Willie Nelson, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and others. Greg Morrow has worked with the Dixie Chicks, Van Zant, 38 Special, Amy Grant, and more.
New GrooveSet: Commotion - Straight forward and powerful Rock beats. Built on a fat kick drum and a tight popping snare, these driving rock rhythms are great for all genres that need a little pick me up. Includes 39 loops (30 MB).
Heavy Mental GrooveSets feature an earth shattering performance by legendary drummer Tony Morra recorded in the world famous Big Boy Room at The Sound Kitchen. Tony Morra started playing drums at age 3 in Queens. His professional career began at 16. He played just about every club in New York area (Bitter End, CBGB, etc.). Since then he has played for many artists in Nashville and worldwide and is producing new bands and artists. The engineer is Steve Marcantonio. His work encompasses classic Nashville as well as the edgier side of the genre, including projects for Rodney Crowell, Deana Carter, Billy Falcon, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, George Strait, Alabama, and many others.
New GrooveSet: Cockpit - Metal to the max. These heavy and hard pounding Metal loops will cover everything from Hard Rock to Classic Metal. Loud crashing cymbals and pounding rhythms supercharge this electrifying collection. Includes 51 loops (34 MB).
